Board Diversity Workshop

Gain a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of Nonprofit Boards through our workshop series. The sessions will cover key aspects, including:

-Nonprofit Impact and Motivation for Serving on a Nonprofit Board
-Rules, Roles, and Responsibilities of Nonprofit Board Members
-The Secret Sauce to Achieving Success in Nonprofit Boards

The goal of the workshop is to foster diverse representation in Macon's nonprofit boards. Networking opportunities will also be available.

The next workshops begin in January 2024 at Washington Memorial Library. 

Spring Cohort: Each session will be held on the last Wednesday of the month from 5 PM to 7 PM, January through May
Fall Cohort: Each session will be held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 AM - 12 PM, June through October.

The Business and Nonprofit Center (BANC)

Purpose
The purpose of the Business and Nonprofit Center (BANC) Collection housed at Washington Memorial Library is to provide information and support necessary for local businesses and nonprofit agencies to grow from start to finish. The collection contains up-to-date and influential materials to support this endeavor and is administered by the BANC librarian.
