Middle Georgia Regional Library is proud to be recognized as a leader in literacy.  Literacy in 21st-century Macon reflects our community’s ability to make sense of and shape the world.  In addition to our work with print-word literacy, we enhance technological literacy through classes and free public access to computers.  Our Business and Nonprofit Center is building financial literacy to empower entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders.  We also encourage life-skills literacy.  Whether we are teaching resume workshops or crochet classes, we are giving members of our community the tools to live informed, engaged lives.

Be a part of building the future. A new public library located at 5494 Forsyth Road will serve North and West Bibb Macon. Nestled in a diverse residential area the property includes a great outdoor space and pavilion perfect for outdoor programming. It is currently comprised of four structures, one of which the Macon-Bibb Friends of the Library use as their bookstore and workroom, with future plans to transform existing structures into a functional library space. Your contribution to “The Library at 5494 Forsyth Road Fund” at the Community Foundation of Central Georgia will go toward the construction of this new public library.

The Macon-Bibb Libraries Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of Central Georgia was created to endow the future of the Macon-Bibb County libraries and will help us continue our mission to connect all people to the information necessary to improve their lives through excellent services and materials.

If you choose to give, please make your tax-deductible contribution payable to the ‘Community Foundation of Central Georgia’ and indicate the fund of your choice on the memo line.  Please mail your check to the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, 577 Mulberry Street, Suite 1600 Macon, GA 31201.  If you prefer to give appreciated stock or a charitable contribution from your IRA, please call Julia Wood at the Community Foundation at 478-750-9338 and she will be happy to assist you.
